Doug Dawson is a graduate of the University of Texas, Austin with a Bachelor of Science degree in engineering. He began his career in financial services in 1987 and devoted himself to the profession full-time when he retired from the National Football League in 1995.
Known as a man with a great deal of energy and charm, he also is admired for his integrity and professionalism. Doug’s clients describe him as direct, compassionate and caring.
During his career, Doug has earned the Chartered Life Underwriter (CLU) professional designation, which is the highest level of studies in the life insurance profession. Doug also has earned his Chartered Financial Consultant (ChFC) designation.

Doug Dawson is 2007 qualifying/life member of the Million Dollar Round Table.
MDRT is The Premier Association of Financial Professionals. Founded in 1927, MDRT provides its members with resources to improve their technical knowledge, sales and client service while maintaining a culture of high ethical standards.

Associations and Memberships
Doug is an alumni member of Pop Warner, the nation’s largest youth football and cheerleading organization, and is a member of the Piney Point City Council.
He is a board member of the Greater Houston Fellowship of Christian Athletes, treasurer of the United Way of Douglas County, on the board of directors of Theatre Under the Stars and the Make-A-Wish Foundation of the Texas Gulf Coast and is a city alderman for Piney Point Village.
